The Equipment was invented for balancing static
electricity, especially in cases in which the air is
mixed with large amounts of flammable gases,
and there is a large risk of ignition.
These conditions can arise when a flammable liquid
is spilled, such as a gasoline truck accident before
it is grounded. In such cases, one needs to ground
the area before one can pump the rest of the gasoline
into another truck, since it is especially likely that
there is a difference in static electricity between the
truck and ground. The static electricity of the truck
should be balanced with the ground, as this greatly
reduces the risk of ignition.
When used according to instructions, the wires
between the different objects can be connected in
any order. This equipment has been marked
Ex-classes (protected from explosions) and can
be used anywhere within the area of the accident,
even if the area is within a gas cloud or a tunnel.
It is no longer necessary to work outside the area
of the accident and worry about grounding.
This construction has been patented and registered
in PRV in Sweden.
